Sparkling Wine Thematic Tour: Sparkling wine reminds us of triumph, glamour, celebration, and success. We decided to celebrate the joy of bubbles by creating a thematic tour. Enjoy the best sparkling wines, and learn all the secrets about its process. The day starts with a visit to Chandon, a pioneer of sparkling wine outside the traditional Champagne region.
After visiting Chandon we visit another world-class player: Codorniu which has produced Cava in Catalunya since 1551, and is known for their superb still and sparkling wines. At Codorniu you will enjoy a gourmet lunch on the Terrace, with an open view of the Andes.
To finish our tour, we visit an artisan of wine, Domaine St. Diego. Domaine St. Diego is a small, family owned business, led by Angel Mendoza, former chef and winemaker for Trapiche Winery. Here we will learn about the vines, and the characteristics of local viticulture. At Domaine St. Diego, you will be exposed to the noble olive trees, while enjoying the wonderful views of Lunlunta Valley. To close this special day we will taste, Brut Xero, a sparkling wine produced with an ancient rural method, accompanied by dry fruits and extra virgin olive oil.
Recommended hotel: Casa Margot - Wineries may vary according to availability (Image of Rooms shown above).
Appreciation of extra virgin olive oil:
Extra virgin Olive Oil is a culinary experience in and of itself. Full of healthy attributes, it provides aromas and sensations for a variety of dishes.
This sensory tour combines food, wine and extra virgin olive oil. Here you will learn how to taste this noble product of our soil, discover different varieties, and enjoy a gourmet asado (Barbeque) with wines and oil!

Spirit of Mendoza:
During your wine tours you will learn that the winemaking process recycles many things: skins and stems go back to the vineyard as fertilizers, from the seeds, oil is produced, and from the barrels the carpenters make furniture.
And from the marc, Sol de los Andes produces the finest Grappa. We invite you to visit the family distillery, chat with the owners, and taste their products accompanied with a great selection of cheeses and cold cuts. The production includes varietal grappas (Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Merlot) and a Blend. The Aniapa Cabernet Sauvignon was awarded with the Gold Medal at “Destillata,” one of the most important international competitions for spirits
