HOW TO GET TO MENDOZA
Tourists can arrive to Mendoza either by bus or by plane. Mendoza International airport “El Plumerillo” gets daily flights from Buenos Aires and Santiago de Chile. By bus Mendoza is connected with Santiago de Chile, Buenos Aires, Salta, Neuquen, Iguazú and other cities.
Mendoza's climate can be characterized as arid, with Mediterranean influences. Mendoza has wet summers and drier winters. Average temperatures for January (summer) are 32°C (90°F) during daytime and 18.4°C (65°F) at night. July (winter) the average temperatures are 14.7°C (58°F) during the day, and 2.4°C (36°F) at night. Mendoza's annual rainfall is only 223.2mm (8 to 10 inch), with an average of 300 sunny days a year!
The local currency is Argentinean pesos. However, most of the shops and restaurants accept US dollars and credit cards as payment.
